Balaton Colors

In 2020-2021, I spent a year in an airbnb during the covid lockdowns at Siófok, Lake Balaton. This strange year I was collecting the colourful mementos of the socialist era for a whole off-season throughout autumn, winter and spring, wandering the land as a modern age Robinson Crusoe. I was amazed by the sleeping land, the peaceful monotony of a place living from summer tourism, the forgotten hotels and mementos of 1960-70s architecture, the colours and lights. After moving back home, I edited a 100+ pages long zine from the project in print.
